One such program is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cancer.org\/involved\/fundraise\/coaches-vs-cancer.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Coaches vs. Cancer<\/a>, which has raised more than $100 million to support the American Cancer Society (ACS).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Leading the Charge Against Cancer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As with most Americans, basketball coaches across the country have been affected by cancer, either personally or through a loved one. The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) has partnered with the ACS to form Coaches vs. Cancer, a program designed to empower the coaches to participate in the fight against cancer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Coaches vs. Cancer: The &#8220;Battles&#8221; <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Thanks to their personal and professional experiences and positions of leadership, basketball coaches are in a great position to raise awareness of <a href=\"https:\/\/issels.com\/blog\/2017\/07\/07\/nih-calls-proposed-cancer-research-funding-cuts-unacceptable\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cancer research<\/a> among their teams and communities.
