August 1958
Diagnosis: Stenosing Carcinoma of the Stomach with Liver Metastases.
Histology: In the gastric mucosa there is a wide-spread neoplastic process. The pathological findings most closely approach the border of the section preparation. Pathol. Dept. Lima Memorial Hospital.
Treatment: Resection of two distal thirds of the stomach. The metastases in the liver are not removed.
No further Standard Treatment. Life expectancy 6 months.
September 1958
Admissions exam: In the depth of the operation scar hard tissue palpable; increased consistency of the liver.
September 1958 to January 1959
Issels Treatment: 17 weeks of in-patient treatment at the Issels hospital and 6 months of out-patient follow-up treatment.
January 1959
Discharge exam: No progression of the disease.
August 1959
Issels Treatment: 2 weeks of in-patient and several months of out-patient follow-up.
Remission.
